En Plein Air
Instructor: Christina Thoen, B. Ed.(Certified Teacher), Art Major, Artist
Age Range: 8 years olds and up
Medium: Any medium you’ve learned in a workshop OR learn Watercolor and Ink (for ages 12 & up)
***For Acrylic: Keep in mind there are no sinks for washing acrylic brushes – also bring extra water and larger water container & bring Ziploc bags to put brushes in to take home for washing!
Days & Dates & Locations:
Thursdays in June (4th and 11th) Time: 1 – 6pm.
June 7th: 1pm-3:30pm Old Court House 4-6pm Riverbank – by Museum
June 21st : 1pm-3:30pm City Hall 4-6pm Little Red - Cosmo Lodge
Course Outline:
-Drawing experience is a prerequisite. You will learn the specifics of “on-site” drawing.
- Each lesson will consist of group instruction as well as individual instruction.
- If choose to learn the Watercolor and Ink, instruction includes a working knowledge of the medium, including the materials and techniques specific to this medium.
- Learning the basic elements (line, shape, color, value, texture, space) with their subject
- Subjects will be chosen on site. All classes are done “en plein air” at destinations above (unless weather doesn’t permit, in which case we will hold the class at the studio!)
Registration: $240.00 per course (+GST) = $252 +Materials
$120.00 per course (+GST) = $126 + Materials
(for high school students who can only come to 4-6pm ones)

Traveling Watercolor Moleskin Pad (12 X 8.5” Hardcover)
-200 gsm paper, acid free, neutral PH,archive quality, 25% cotton cold pressed

Eraser and metal water container

*Bring a blanket or folding chair, something feel will be more comfortable to work from - there isn't always a table! Dress for outside!
